The quotations of agrometeorological stations are comprehensively affected by multiple factors such as equipment configuration and functions.
In terms of equipment configuration, the configuration of meteorological sensors determines the price. If only basic temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction sensors are equipped, the price is relatively affordable; however, if it includes sensors for various elements such as soil temperature and humidity, illuminance, and carbon dioxide concentration, the cost will increase significantly due to the increase in the types and quantities of sensors. Differences in the performance and channel numbers of data loggers, transmission methods (wireless or wired), power supply systems (mains power or solar power), the materials, height and strength of brackets, as well as protective equipment, will all lead to variations in quotations. For example, high-precision, multi-channel data loggers, stable and long-distance wireless transmission modules, complete solar power supply systems, sturdy and durable high-quality brackets and comprehensive protective devices will all drive up the overall price.
In terms of functions, the accuracy and comprehensiveness of monitoring functions affect quotations. High-precision sensors can obtain more accurate data and thus have a higher price. In terms of data storage and processing functions, equipment with large-capacity storage and complex data processing, analysis and visual display functions requires powerful hardware and software algorithms for support, and due to the high development and maintenance costs, the quotations will increase accordingly. For the early warning function, if it can accurately push notifications through multiple means and flexibly set thresholds, additional communication modules and software function development are needed, resulting in increased costs. Agrometeorological stations with remote control functions that can adjust irrigation, ventilation and other equipment will also see a price increase due to the addition of hardware such as control modules and communication interfaces, as well as software and security protection mechanisms. Agrometeorological stations with good compatibility and expandability that can be linked with other agricultural equipment will have an increased cost due to the need to consider more interface and compatibility issues during design, and their quotations will also be affected.
All in all, the richer the equipment configuration and the more powerful the functions of agrometeorological stations are, the higher their quotations tend to be.
