1.Airflow Instruments Capture Hood Product Introduction
Airflow Instruments Capture Hood is suitable for fast and accurate measurement of large air inlets and return air outlets to meet regulatory requirements and ensure indoor air quality. It provides reliable support for HVAC system measurement in hospitals, office buildings or commercial buildings.
Built-in air flow straightening grid allows accurate measurement even at vortex outlets. Vortex outlets require frequent air volume measurements. Due to the influence of turbulence at the outlet, wind speed is often not accurately measured.
Airflow Instruments Capture Hood can effectively reduce measurement errors. The built-in airflow straightening grid can effectively reduce eddy currents and even out airflow, thus achieving accurate measurement of air volume between 80 and 3,500 m3/h.
Lightweight air flow hood, minimalist setup
The hood is equipped with an ergonomically designed handle and an adjustable display, and weighs only 2.9kg. This means that air volume measurement tasks can be easily and accurately performed even in large meeting rooms and above head height. The prominent measurement button is located at the base of the hood to ensure that every reading during the measurement process is recorded.
The standard hood size is 610x610mm. We also offer additional hood sizes for more ceiling outlets. The optional tripod is a great help for measuring inlets and return vents at high places. The tripod can be extended up to 4m.
The fixed tie rods make the air volume hood easy and quick to assemble. The standard transport trolley case ensures safe transportation.
Create measurement reports online and send them to your email using the app. Download the free app for even more advantages. The app and Bluetooth function allow you to use your smartphone or tablet as a second display and control it remotely. This is especially useful when measuring high ceilings using a tripod.
When measuring the air conditioning and heating system, you can start/end the measurement program through the App, save the measurement results in .txt format, and create a measurement report online. The measurement results, such as total air volume and air change rate, are assigned according to the customer's customized template, and the measurement results and reports are sent via email. Help you save time and improve work efficiency.
2. Features of Airflow Instruments Capture Hood
The air volume hood for HVAC system measurements is equipped with a display to show the measurement results. The display can be adjusted to allow the customer to read the measured values from different angles.
It can measure wind speed, air volume, absolute pressure, temperature and relative humidity. The automatic zeroing function ensures accurate measurement under micro pressure.
Backlit display, all measured values can be read on one screen. The application enables online saving of measured values and creation of measurement reports, which can be used to analyze and manage measured values. Data management can also be performed on a computer without the need for additional operating software.
The air volume hood integrates different measuring instruments, which are not limited to ceiling outlet air volume measurement. After removing the air volume hood, it can also be used to measure the pressure, wind speed and air volume in the duct. Save costs and do not need to purchase other instruments.
When measuring pipelines, just connect the optional pitot tube and the connecting hose. The time average/multi-point average calculation function and the input of pipeline geometry can help you complete pipeline measurements with less effort.
