In the fields of meteorological observation and environmental monitoring, visibility is a key indicator. Although traditional ground visibility monitoring stations can provide certain data, they have shortcomings such as limited monitoring range and difficulty in covering complex terrain. With the development of science and technology, using drones equipped with Uav visibility meters for monitoring has become a new trend, effectively making up for the shortcomings of traditional methods.
To carry out visibility monitoring using drones, it is first necessary to select a suitable drone platform and Uav visibility meter. The selected drone needs to have good stability, long endurance and a certain load capacity to ensure that it can carry the instrument to fly according to the predetermined route and complete the monitoring task. The Uav visibility meter is required to be high-precision, small in size and light in weight to meet the needs of drone carrying.
During the flight, the drone flies according to the set route, and the Uav visibility meter starts to work. Its working principle is usually to emit a beam of a specific wavelength (such as infrared light) and detect the scattering of the beam after propagating in the air to estimate visibility. By analyzing the scattered light, the instrument can calculate the visibility value at the current position in real time and transmit the data to the ground control station in real time through wireless communication technology. Ground operators can view the data in real time at the control station, and once abnormal data is found, they can mark and record it in time for subsequent analysis.
Fengtu has a Uav visibility meter adapted to drones, which has the "four super" characteristics, namely super small shape, ultra-low wind resistance, super light weight and ultra-low power consumption, making it particularly suitable for small drone platforms and flight control systems. The compact shape design can reduce air resistance during flight and reduce the impact on the drone's flight performance. With a weight of only 110 grams, it reduces the load burden of the drone, which is conducive to the drone's endurance and flexible flight. Moreover, the power consumption is extremely low, with a power supply consumption of only 0.9 watts, which can greatly extend the single flight monitoring time of the drone, making it suitable for long-term and large-scale environmental monitoring tasks.

The measurement of weather visibility plays a crucial role in many fields such as transportation and meteorological research. Currently, there are mainly two ways to measure visibility, namely manual measurement and equipment measurement. Since manual measurement has relatively large errors and is e...
Rain, fog, and other harsh weather conditions are major "adversaries" threatening traffic safety. Low visibility in particular severely impairs drivers' vision, highly increasing the risk of traffic accidents and causing casualties and property losses. The emergence of Atmospheric Visi...
