In terms of protection, its housing is made of high-quality aluminum material, treated with anodizing and painting, fully enhancing its waterproof, dustproof, and collision-resistant capabilities. It continuously collects accurate data in harsh environments, like a "steel guard" sticking to its post.
In optical design, it ingeniously positions the transmitting and receiving lenses downward. On sunny days, while other sensors may be disturbed by stray light, leading to inaccurate data, this layout allows it to avoid sunlight interference, steadily focusing on visibility measurement and providing real and reliable data.
Regarding functions, it can accurately identify various weather phenomena such as fog, rain, snow, mixed precipitation, and sunny days with high accuracy. In places highly sensitive to weather changes like highways and airports, it acts as a "meteorological scout," quickly and accurately feeding back weather conditions to facilitate traffic scheduling, flight arrangements, and advance preparations.
Stable operation is key for equipment working outdoors for a long time, and this sensor excels in this aspect. The built-in watchdog circuit continuously monitors the instrument's operating status and handles anomalies immediately. The communication and power interfaces also feature lightning protection designs to reduce damage from lightning strikes and static electricity, ensuring it won't "malfunction" even in changeable outdoor weather.
Energy and data transmission are also worry-free. With 12-24V wide voltage power supply and only about 1W power consumption, it can be easily paired with solar panels and batteries for stable and long-lasting power supply. The digital interface uses RS485 or RS232, follows the standard MODBUS protocol, and can be directly connected to systems without tedious protocol adaptation. Moreover, it can directly output visibility data at different time intervals such as 15s, 1min, and 10min, effortlessly meeting the needs of various scenarios without additional settings.
